Supporting the Turing Trust with the Donation of IT Equipment.

At Krome, we believe in making a positive impact in our community. We are proud to support The Turning Trust, a charity dedicated to improving educational opportunities in underserved regions, with a significant donation of IT equipment.

The Turing Trust, founded by James Turing in honour of his great-uncle, Alan Turing, works to bridge the digital divide by providing refurbished IT equipment to schools and communities in sub-Saharan Africa. By equipping students and teachers with the tools they need to access digital resources, The Turning Trust enables learners to develop essential IT skills, enhancing their education and future opportunities.

Our IT equipment donation, which included 5 pallets of IT equipment, including monitors, desktop computers, headsets, keyboards, and other IT essentials, is set to make a transformative difference.

James Turing, founder of the Trust shared the impact of this contribution:

“I’m glad to say we safely received this wonderful donation, thank you so much!

Thanks to your donation, 2,592 students will be able to learn vital IT skills.

Beyond this, the environmental impact from your donation will offset 40 tonnes of CO2 emissions, which is the equivalent of planting 101 trees or offsetting the annual carbon footprints of 4 Britons.

The embodied energy savings created are also enough to power 10 UK homes for an entire year!
